Li Rulun is a contemporary Chinese poet and poetry theorist who was born in Fuyu County, Jilin Province in 1930. He has made important achievements in poetry creation and poetry theory research. After graduating from university, Li Rulun worked as a high school teacher, deputy editor of "Works", and deputy director of the essay creation committee. In 1957, he was mistakenly classified as a "rightist". After the reform and opening up, he entered the most glorious period of his creative career. In 1981, he founded "Contemporary Poetry", which had an important impact at home and abroad. Due to his rich achievements, he has twice won the "Lu Xun Literature Award" of Guangdong Province.
