Yan Zhen was originally named Yan Guiqing and Yan Xiaoguang. Born in Laiyang, Shandong Province. During the period of 1950, when he participated in the land reform in Anhui, he published two poems in Northern Anhui Literature and Art for the first time under the pseudonym of "Yan Zhen": "Zhang Ersao Divides the Fields" and "Job Hoping". From 65438 to 0953, he was transferred to Anhui Federation of Literary and Art Circles as the editor of Anhui Literature and Art, and joined the Producer Party of China in the same year. 1954, the long poem "Lao Zhang's Hand" published in People's Literature attracted the attention of literary and art circles and was well received by readers. Through a farmer's hand, the poem shows a sharp contrast between old and new life, with vivid language and sincere feelings. Soon published his first book of poetry, Girls on the Huaihe River. So far, 20 poems have been published. In addition to writing poems, he is also engaged in the creation of novellas and lyric prose.
