Fear of nature
In his poems, Liu Zongyuan showed the mystery and magnificence of nature by depicting the scenery of Jiang Xue. He described the scene after the snow with "blowing open the petals of ten thousand pear trees and having beautiful and long flowers", which showed the beauty and vitality of nature. And "the river flows around Fangdian, and the moonlight shines on the flower forest like graupel" shows the mystery and wonder of nature.
Rejection of secularism
In his poems, Liu Zongyuan also expressed his disappointment and boredom with the secular world. He described the desolation and helplessness of the real world as "what is snow like, what is the difference between salt and air?" And "there are too many beautiful women in the country, and countless heroes compete to bend their backs" shows disappointment and boredom with the world.
