Brief introduction of college
The Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1955, formerly known as the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the former Ministry of Health, and merged with Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 197 1 and was renamed the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. When it celebrated its 50th anniversary in February 2005, it was renamed the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive Chinese medicine research institution directly under state administration of traditional chinese medicine, focusing on scientific research of Chinese medicine and integrating scientific research, medical treatment and teaching. Tu Youyou, a lifelong researcher in this hospital, has made outstanding contributions to the discovery of artemisinin and its application in malaria treatment, and won the 20 15 and 10 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine respectively.
Research objectives
The research work of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine focuses on solving key scientific problems that restrict the development of traditional Chinese medicine and improving clinical efficacy, and has carried out extensive research on traditional Chinese medicine, and made remarkable achievements in basic theory, prevention and treatment of major diseases, protection of traditional Chinese medicine resources, key technologies for the creation and research of major new drugs, standardization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, and protection and utilization of ancient Chinese medicine books.
achievements in scientific research
By the end of 20 15, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine had won 6 18 scientific and technological awards at all levels, including 46 national scientific and technological awards, 10 national scientific and technological achievements and the National Science Conference 18, and 522 awards from other governments and social forces. The research of artemisinin and dihydroartemisinin in our hospital won the second prize of national invention and the top ten national scientific and technological achievements award; "Research on Blood Stasis Syndrome and Promoting Blood Circulation to Remove Stasis" won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
