The Significance of the Seal Emblem in Eva
This is related to the legend of Adam and Eve. God built a Garden of Eden in the East and decorated it with many kinds of creatures. There are two trees in the center of the garden: the tree of life and the tree of wisdom. God sent Adam to the garden and told him that he could eat all the fruits except the tree of life and the tree of knowledge. God gave all the animals to Adam, and Adam named all the animals. After that, God told Adam to have a good sleep. When Adam was sleeping, God took off one of his ribs and made a woman out of this bone, so that Adam would not be lonely. Adam and the woman were naked and lived happily in the Garden of Eden, living in harmony with God. However, the most evil of all animals is the snake. The snake asked the woman if she could eat any fruit she wanted. "Of course," the woman replied, "we can eat any fruit we want except the fruit from the knowledge tree. But the fruit on the tree of knowledge will die if we eat it. " "Impossible," said the snake. "If you eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge, you will find that there is a difference between good and evil, which will be the same as God. It is for this reason that God won't let you eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge. " The woman looked at the tree wistfully and was tempted by the watery fruit, because it would make her smart. Finally, she couldn't stand it anymore, so she picked a fruit and ate it. After that, she picked another one for Adam, and Adam ate it. After that, they looked at each other, realized that they were naked and understood that men and women had different bodies, so they felt ashamed. They hurriedly picked some fig leaves to cover their bodies. When it was dark and cool, they heard the voice of God. When God came to the garden, they hid. God can't see them both. However, God called Adam and asked him where he was and why he was hiding. Adam replied that he heard the voice of God, but he was afraid. God said, "If you are afraid, you must have eaten the fruit that I forbid you to eat." Adam immediately pointed to the woman and said, "This woman let me eat the fruit." "Yes," the woman replied, "but it was the snake that seduced and deceived me." In this way, God cursed the snake and drove Adam and the woman out of the Garden of Eden, saying, "Since you know good and evil, you must leave the Garden of Eden. If you stay, you can eat the fruit of the tree of life and you will live forever. I can't allow this. " God drove them into the world and cursed them, saying that from now on, Adam must live tired and sweaty, and women should endure the pain of childbirth. In the east of Eden, God sent an angel to stay there, holding a burning sword, guarding the entrance of Eden and the tree of life. After the Lord drove Adam and the woman out of the Garden of Eden, Adam named his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all beings.
