Lycodon rufozonatus, also known as red chain, red snake and night snake, is a non-toxic snake, distributed in China, Japan, Korea, Laos, Viet Nam and Russia. The back is black, brown and red. It is named because it has narrow red stripes above 5 1~87+ 12~30, but some individuals lack red stripes. Buccal scales often enter the orbit. The back of the head is black and the scales are red. There is a ∧-shaped erythema on the occipital part, and a black stripe behind the eye socket reaches the scales of the seventh upper lip backwards. Most of them live in fields, rivers, hills and near water areas, often appearing around houses and often appearing in villagers' hospitals.
