On the problem of copying classics
Copying Buddhist scriptures has great merits and can make you gain great wisdom. Your mother said you can't take Buddhist scriptures to the dormitory. I think it may be because you will put Buddhist scriptures in an unclean place or mix them with other things, which is really bad. If you want to copy Buddhist scriptures, you'd better sit up with clean hands, calm down and copy them sincerely before copying. It's better to copy in block letters than to write in a dazzling way like writing other things, which is very bad. And don't put the copied Buddhist scriptures casually, but put them at a clean height. This is not superstition, but a respect for Buddhism. May you copy the scriptures and gain real great wisdom, Amitabha.
