Translation:
Forty-four years old, worked as a secretariat twice. Being an official by yourself is not a good official with achievements. I often speak books and papers, but what books have I read? Late-blooming flowers are red and bright, quietly opening; The big tree with green branches and leaves has just formed a shade. Shuige House is so clean that even the streams and mountains in the picture are not as beautiful as the scenery around the pavilion.
The distinguished guests I often visit and feast in the pavilion are all literati who are good at poetry and songs, official prostitutes who accompany them in singing and dancing, and also beautiful women who are good at dressing up. Accompanied by beautiful women and teacher Wen, every day's troubles are shattered, and you will get carried away and get drunk anytime and anywhere.
Zhufuyan "seeks" fame and fortune; Tao Yuanming, however, "only loves" his family and regards fame as a cloud. Everyone has his own ideas, don't laugh at them!

This poem was written in the spring of the sixth year of Huichang (846), and Du Mu was appointed as the secretariat of Chizhou. The whole poem depicts the beautiful scenery and leisurely life of Chizhou, depicts the well-organized beautiful scenery, and shows the ambition to live in seclusion like Tao Yuanming. In fact, it also implies the sadness of frustration.
Du Mu was an outstanding poet and essayist in Tang Dynasty, the grandson of Du You, the prime minister, and the son of Du You.
