First, it is a subject to be confused. This is a philosophy that is fully understood. There is no need to take everything seriously. There are really few things in the world. Any "circle" has rules and hidden rules. Learn to be versatile, flexible, flattering, and like a duck to water.
Zheng Banqiao wrote this "rare confusion" in those days, which was a kind of hatred for customs and bad habits of officialdom, and also the reason why he finally saw through the sinister officialdom and resigned and retired.
People all know Zheng Banqiao's Rare Puzzlement, and many people like it, but do you know its origin?
It is said that when Zheng Banqiao was working in wei county, Shandong, he had been to Yunfeng Mountain in Laizhou, Shandong. It was getting late, so he went to a hut in the mountains for the night.
After knocking at the door, an old man with blond hair and beard opened the door to let him in.
Zheng Banqiao found that the old man was not only a fairy tale, but also showed a delicate inkstone in the room, beautifully carved like a stone, with books on the table. Zheng Banqiao knew that the old man claimed to be a "confused old man".
The next day, the old man took out his pen and ink and asked the world-famous Zheng Banqiao to give him Amobo. According to the old man's self-report, Zheng Banqiao wrote the word "muddleheaded" in calligraphy, and stamped the inscription with the words "Kangxi Scholar, Yongzheng Juren, Gan Long Jinshi" to show off.
The old man put his beard together for a while, and then wrote a postscript: "Beautiful stones are hard to get, especially stubborn stones, and it is even harder to change from beautiful stones to stubborn stones. Beauty is in the middle, stubborn outside, hiding in the savage's house, not entering the giants. " And stamped it. When Zheng Banqiao saw it, Zhang said, "The college entrance examination is the first, the provincial examination is the second, and the palace examination is the third." I can't help being surprised. I quickly saluted the old man, knowing that I had met a superior person. Then he added, "It's hard to be smart, but it's hard to be confused. It's even harder to change from smart to confused. Let go, take a step back, and feel at ease now, not to get a return later. "
Zheng Banqiao admired the old man very much. They met for a short time and became friends in life. This old man is the famous Zen master Heng Che.

A genius with two or three unique talents, named Xie, is gentle in character. His name is Banqiao. He used to be a county official of Qipin, but because he was dissatisfied with the corruption in the officialdom, he resigned and retired to make a living by selling paintings. He is proficient in artistic poetry, ci, song, couplet, writing, calligraphy, painting and printing, and is famous for his "three unique skills of poetry, painting and calligraphy".
In Qing Dynasty, Zhang Weiping's Essays on Selected Songs spoke highly of Zheng Banqiao, saying that he had "three unique skills": "Yue Hua, Yue Shu and Shi Yue. Among the three wonders, there are three truths: true spirit, true meaning and true interest. " They all show true temperament. That's interesting.
Zheng Banqiao is the most famous among the Eight Eccentrics in Yangzhou, with more than 1,000 poems and more than 100 words, as well as couplets, songs, prefaces and postscripts, inscriptions and so on. It occupies a certain position in the history of China literature. Some people say that poetry is like a person, which was completely confirmed by Zheng Banqiao. His poems are free and fluent, free and easy, and straightforward; His words are bold and generous, melodious and delicate, and face life directly; His combination is lofty, passionate and philosophical; His paintings are made of bamboo and strange stones. Bamboo is tall and thin, orchids are scattered, and the stones are magnificent and clean, which reflects a vivid and elegant painting style. His calligraphy is called "Banqiao style", which is chic and orderly, "wild grass and ancient hoops, each word has its own beauty" and "find another way and excel".
Zheng Banqiao's life is embodied in the word "truth", and his "confusion" is obviously for live high.
Zheng Banqiao's mother died when she was three years old. Fisher, a kind and kind nurse, was reluctant to give up her child and gave him a mother's love.
Later, his father, Zheng Zhiben, got married, and his stepmother, Hao, was also a charitable and caring person who regarded her as her own child, so her childhood was warm and happy.
His father opened a private school. He studied with his father since childhood and was enlightened by his learned grandfather Wang Xuwen. All the classic and historical subsets are involved. He hates posturing by nature, and often tells the truth, which makes some people unhappy. Moreover, his words often hit the nail on the head and he is regarded as a "wicked person" who is good at swearing.

Three. Zheng Banqiao sympathized with the lower class and hated the decline of intellectuals' humanistic spirit at that time. Those bumbling "bad articles" stuck people all over.
He believes that simple people are "the first class between heaven and earth", far better than those who talk big. Therefore, he later "painted blue flowers and bamboo stones to comfort the working people in the world, not for the enjoyment of the people in the world." Based on this conscience, he went to Shandong as a county magistrate, attached importance to farming and mulberry, observed the sufferings of the people, cared about their lives and tried his best to make them live and work in peace and contentment.
An official should show a kind of dignity and identity and pay attention to ostentation and extravagance. When traveling in Zheng Banqiao, they don't use the signs of "avoidance" and "silence", they don't make noise, they don't disturb the people, and they often go deep into the people to visit the poor and ask questions. He wrote a poem on the bamboo slips: "Yazhai lies listening to Zhu, which is probably the voice of the people's sufferings. Some small officials in Caozhou County always care about their feelings. "
This poem fully expresses his sympathy and sense of responsibility. Although he is only a small county official, he can reform graft to the greatest extent, safeguard the interests of the people and benefit one party.
In the 11th year of Qingganlong (A.D. 1746), famine occurred in Shandong due to successive years of drought. As soon as Zheng Banqiao was transferred to Wei County, he immediately opened a warehouse for disaster relief. By building a city and a pond, he recruited hungry people to work in Wei County, took the lead in donating his salary to help the people, and carved a Zhang Mingzhi: "I can't wait to fill the universal hunger debt".
Seeing that the people were starving to death, he decisively opened the official warehouse to lend food to the people to solve the problem of eating. According to the regulations, it is a crime to open the official warehouse without authorization.
Zheng Banqiao said passionately: "If the newspaper approves, the people will starve to death. I will bear this responsibility alone."
After the autumn, many people were unable to return the borrowed grain, so he asked people to burn the public debt to reduce the burden on the people. This naturally aroused the dissatisfaction of some bureaucratic gentry who wanted to send money for disaster relief, making them unprofitable. They colluded with each other to report the disaster to him and embezzled the disaster relief money.
So, the above sent someone to check, and found that Zheng Banqiao remained uncorrupted, and his family was selfless, and finally he didn't cure "sin"! But once let Zheng Banqiao see through the sinister dirty officialdom and bureaucratic intrigue, decided to resign and retire.
When people heard such a good official resigned, they all came to see him off. They saw that Zheng Banqiao had only two boxes of books and an extremely young man riding a rented donkey.
Unexpectedly, Zheng Banqiao, who has been a magistrate of a county for twelve years, left nothing at home and was so clean that everyone was very moved.
Zheng Banqiao presented paintings and poems to the people as a souvenir: "If you throw away the black veil, it will be very cold." . Write a thin bamboo and use it as a fishing rod on the autumn wind river. "To express their noble character and selfless mind.
Fourthly, it is Zheng Banqiao's frank and selfless true nature to learn from others, which made him unable to make a difference in officialdom, but made his artistic achievements.
Zheng Banqiao believes that a real artist should advocate nature according to his own nature, should not imitate the ancients step by step, should have the independence of personality and art, and emphasize "self-learning without teachers" and "learning from nature". He learned from others, was brave in innovation and set up his own family. "He is not tired of the past, and his spirit and intention complement each other." He wants to get out of the barriers of his predecessors and make artistic creation in an eclectic way.
Zheng Banqiao has made great achievements in poetry, calligraphy and painting simply because he can paint with books, paint with books, blend poetry and painting, "write orchids like ci" and "write orchids like ci", and form his own family. As the saying goes: "I insist that the castle peak will not relax, so I will stand in the broken rock." Thousands of blows are still strong, and the wind is east, west, north and south. "This is a portrayal of your own spirit and personality, and it is also a noble feeling.
Zheng Banqiao's previous paintings and calligraphy were almost worthless. At the age of 44, when he was a scholar, the market for calligraphy and painting soared, as if it had become valuable overnight. Many rich and powerful arty people come to ask for calligraphy and painting. Zheng Banqiao carved "Boss Bridge 20 years ago" and "Kangxi Scholar, Yongzheng Juren, Qianlong Jinshi" to satirize those who change arrogance from respect to respect.
Zheng Banqiao painted a "broken orchid", which is a broken clay pot. If the orchid in the pot is not in bloom, its artistic conception is far-reaching, which will make the human body have profound meaning outside the painting. Its title poem says:
Spring rain and spring breeze washed away the beautiful face, and Qiongdao came to the world.
Nowadays, without a confidant, it is even more difficult to break the black basin.
Gentlemen often say, "Do something and don't do something!" This clearly tells people that giving up and getting, using incompletely and completely, is the great realm!
People, "rarely confused", is not superficial confusion, but the true essence behind confusion.
