Plum blossoms
There are several plum blossoms in the corner,
They bloom alone in the cold.
I knew it wasn’t snow from a distance,
because there was a faint fragrance coming.
When I first read this poem, I thought that the poet Wang Anshi just liked the shape, color and taste of plum blossoms. "I know it is not snow from afar, because there is a faint fragrance." These two lines of poem show the reader the impression of plum blossoms on the poet, which is as white, beautiful and lovely as snow, exuding a faint fragrance.
When I read this poem carefully, I suddenly realized it. The poet is not only intoxicated by the appearance of plum blossoms, but more importantly, the soul of plum blossoms.
"There are several plum blossoms in the corner, blooming alone in the cold." This is the soul of plum blossoms, not afraid of severe cold, not afraid of difficulties and obstacles, and moving forward indomitably. In the harsh winter, plum blossoms are not like the flowers in the other three seasons. The flowers in those three seasons are always in full bloom and show off in every possible way. They hate the cold winter and always reach the peak of life in late autumn and gradually wither. The plum blossom is unique and cannot be compared with other three-season flowers. Plum blossoms have nothing to do with the world, preferring to be indifferent to fame and wealth, and to be peaceful and ambitious.
