Seven-law Yuanmingyuan
The fire is hard to burn out, and the ruins are broken. A hundred years of ingenuity, thousands of treasures in the cabinet. Foreigners are greedy when fighting, and the more cars and boats they have, the more expensive they are. Cowardice and fatuity, mistakes in state affairs, drove the emperor to prosper the country.
Located in the northwest of Beijing, Yuanmingyuan is the royal garden and palace of the Qing Dynasty. Founded at the beginning of17th century, it has a history of 100 years, with a huge scale. It is a masterpiece of classical garden architecture in China, which brings together countless rare treasures. But unfortunately, such a magnificent garden was looted and burned by the British and French Coalition forces, leaving us only in ruins.
We can only recall its past glory and the history of China being bullied by imperialist powers according to its huge relics, and we can't help sighing.
But at the beginning of19th century, imperialist powers began to get their hands on China. They are salivating at the fat of China. But at that time, China was a self-sufficient economy, and imperialism did not make much profit in its normal trade with China. So they began to illegally import drugs to China, and Britain imported opium to China. Through the drug trade, they plundered a lot of silver from China.
Faced with this situation, people of insight, represented by Lin Zexu, stood up and told the court about the dangers of drugs, clearly pointing out that if drugs were allowed to flood, it would not be long before China's national treasury would have no money, no soldiers to protect their homes against the enemy, and no cultivated land.
Yuanmingyuan, located in the northwest of Beijing, has pavilions and magnificent treasures. The invaders' talons reached here, and the greedy nature was exposed. They are destroying and robbing, pulling carts and transporting ships. Finally, in order to destroy the evidence, the invaders set fire to Yuanmingyuan. The fire burned for several days, condensing the unparalleled wisdom and sweat of the people of China, and the exquisite royal garden was destroyed.
The invaders burned, killed and looted, and the Qing government was unable to fight back, so it had to negotiate with humiliation and signed the "Beijing Treaty" with the great powers. It was still unequal terms such as compensation and opening more trading ports, and China was heading for deeper suffering.
