Kuaiyuan (text) / Millennium Month)

In the present Shaoxing Hotel, it was owned by Han Yike in the early Ming Dynasty and later inherited by Zhang Dai in the late Ming Dynasty. Zhang Dai lived here for twenty-four years. In his "Kuaiyuan Ji" (Kuai Yuan Ji), Volume 2 of "Collected Works of Lang Huan", he said: "The house is like a hand scroll, with selected sections, opening to the mountain, opening the door to the water. There is a garden in front of it, all with fertile soil and high borders, with many fruit trees planted. On the first day of the lunar month, bamboo shoots, oranges, plums, apricots, pears, hawthorns and wild rice are sold in the market behind closed doors. The pond is ten acres wide and filled with grasshoppers and fish. There are hundreds of mulberry trees, ten peach and pear trees, "a leek-cut pavilion in the garden," and "more than a hundred ancient pines, which are winding and bizarre, and are extremely pine-like." Below there are more than a hundred antlered deer and deer, circling and leaning against each other. In the morning and evening, it is hidden under the trees, and its color is dark and yellow. It is a large horizontal drape of the golden landscape of General Xiao Li. Outside the Huoshou and Yi Gardens, there are thousands of towering bamboos, and everything is green. Inside the gardens, there are pine paths and osmanthus clusters, which are impenetrable to rain. In the small pond in front of the pavilion, there are extremely luxuriant green lotus trees, surrounded by hibiscus trees, red and white. Autumn colors such as yellow sunflowers, begonias, monk's shoe chrysanthemums, wild goose red, and cut autumn gauze are laid out like brocade. Across the bridge to the north, there is a double room, a secret room, and a water pavilion. The displays are all from Zhou, Ding, Shang and Yi, with Dharma calligraphy and famous paintings, and everything is as precise as the blessed land of Langhuan."

"Yue Zhong Garden Pavilion" records: "When you climb the shade of Longshan Mountain, you can see bamboo. Wood crosses Yin. It is known as the happy garden for all the princes of Gongdan. The small road is winding. Fangtang is clear. Tangyuxuanyu Tower. They all face the pool and are quiet and open. Each one is unique. There is no need to wear a veil to face each other. It is known to be the residence of Yun people. "

Lingxiao Society was built here in the late Qing Dynasty (see Gardens of the Republic of China for details). After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was changed to Shaoxing Hotel.
