Appreciation of Li Bai's Song of Autumn Pu

Temple in autumn, once whispered, has declined.

Apes have white hair, both long and short.

Li Bai is probably the only exception, but that was when he was pardoned in the Three Gorges on his way to Yelang in his later years. When he returned home by boat, he happily wrote, "The apes on both sides of the strait can't stop crying, and the canoe has passed Chung Shan Man." But at the moment, his mood is not so good. As soon as the ape rushed, all the hair on his head turned white, whether it was long or short. The word "chong" can be described as thrilling. It turned out that his hair turned white overnight, and there was no way to resist the ape's rush! Because this poem uses "once" and "urge" to emphasize that his hair is unusually white, it can't help but remind people of his famous sentence in "Into the Wine", "You didn't see the lovely hair in Gao Tingming's mirror. Although it was silky black in the morning, it turned into snow at night!"

However, from the 15th Song of Autumn Pu, it is not difficult to read why the romantic poet suddenly turned white. This poem gives people a romantic and style with obvious poetic color. "White hair and three thousands of feet, like a long beard!" If others say that they have ten feet of hair, it is estimated that no one will believe them, while Li Bai's partial belief that he has three thousands of feet white hairs has become a famous sentence throughout the ages. Then why is an objectively impossible phenomenon subjectively recognized and loved by countless readers? The reason is of course in the second sentence behind. Because the significance of this couplet lies not in the "white hair and three thousands of feet" that expresses the length, but in the "long sorrow" that explains the reason. It turns out that the three thousands of feet white hairs written by Li Bai are just a frame of reference. Why do I have such long white hair? Because I have "the same long sorrow!" The reason is because of meaning, and so is meaning. These two poems turned out to be inverted sentences. Of course, Li Bai is not worried about his basic necessities like ordinary people, nor that he has no official position, because he left the Hanlin bachelor with the emperor and insisted on going to Qiupu to "sing a white-haired song". He is worried that he can't realize the ideal of "saving the world", and he is worried that he can't realize his long-cherished wish-to retire after becoming famous. Seeing that he has long been far away from the political center of the country, the failure of state affairs is getting worse every day. He is completely helpless, and he can do nothing about the fate of the country or his personal ambitions. You said that Li Bai is the most enlightened, because senior officials can be improper and powerful people can be despised; But Li Bai is the most stubborn. In this case, you can simply "be happy" and enjoy the life you like. However, Li Bai can give up at any time and place, but he can't get carried away endlessly. This kind of worry is not for his personal experience, but for his ideal, the world and the whole world. It was Li Bai who eventually became "white-haired". After making this earth-shattering and weeping sigh, Li Bai suddenly turned his pen and asked himself an abrupt question, "I don't know where to get the autumn frost in the mirror?" When Li Bai looked in the mirror, he suddenly found himself covered with "autumn frost", but he couldn't figure out when and where his hair turned white. This once again shows that Li Bai didn't encounter great changes in his life like Wu Zixu, but was suddenly stimulated mentally. We know that he is an extremely romantic person, but romantic people don't necessarily have no worries, because romantic people often have more pursuits and stronger desires than ordinary people who are content, so they are bound to have greater disappointment. Repeated failures in the pursuit of ideals have left Li Bai in a state of depression for a long time, and his natural pride is constantly getting rid of depression and pursuing himself. This kind of mental repression and anti-repression will certainly have an intangible negative impact on people's psychology and even physiology. In fact, Li Bai is not just lamenting that he is white-haired and old, but has a deeper sorrow, that is, he has nothing to pursue in his life, but only "three thousand white hairs." From now on, with the growth of age, his previous lofty sentiments will no longer exist. This situation is afraid that you will be romantic again. Although Li Bai is helpless in his heart, his way of expressing this helplessness and deep mentality is still free and easy. My white hair is three times as long as thousands of feet's, more than countless ordinary people. My hair is white, but I don't know it. Although I am talking about sadness and sadness, we are reading the exclamation of "Three thousands of feet with White Hair". After listening to the question "I don't know in the mirror", we still think that this is an indomitable one.

The 14th Song of Autumn Pu has a very special theme, which is about smelting workers who are engaged in intense labor. This kind of image is unique not only in Li Bai's poems, but also in the whole China poetry art treasure house, and its importance is self-evident.

"Fire shines on the heavens and the earth, and red stars are everywhere." At the beginning of the poem, people saw the scene of intense labor. The first sentence is a panoramic view, which is full of flames and reflects the whole world. At night, the scenery in the distance is spectacular. The second sentence is a close-up view. You can see thick purple smoke spewing out of the furnace, and sometimes scarlet Mars jumps out of the furnace happily. The whole picture presents a strong tone and a strong sense of movement, which gives people a visual impact. Through this unusual scene description, we can clearly feel the excitement, joy and multiple emotional experiences mixed with novelty and admiration brought by the poet's visit to this fiery labor site.

The next two sentences, "Lang Lang Moon Night, winding and cold Sichuan", are the author's positive descriptions of the smelting workers who are working hard. Yun Lang's original intention was blushing, and Li Bai creatively used it to generate a brand-new poetic word "Lang Lang" to express his sincere admiration for the hard-working working people in front of him. The workers' faces were scorched by the fire. They were all fresh and flushed, and heavy physical labor did not crush them. On the contrary, in this hard and creative work, they felt a kind of heroism and excitement from the heart. As a result, they can work hard and sing songs with high spirits. The high-pitched labor chant resounds through the night sky one after another, weaving into a rough hymn of labor creating everything, and even the optimism, unity and mutual assistance of the workers have given the already sensitive poet a strong inner shock. If the first three sentences of the poem mainly express the visual impact on the poet's heart through pictures, then at the end of the poem, the auditory shock felt by the poet at that time is reproduced through sound effects, and even Cold Sichuan can't help it, let alone Li Bai, who is naturally romantic and affectionate. At this moment, he has completely forgotten his white hair, and once again felt the value of life and the sublimity of labor, so his heart can no longer be suppressed, and his inspiration broke out again. So with a stroke of his pen, he created a magnificent panorama of Autumn Night Smelting, which concisely and incisively expressed the author's sincere praise and admiration for creative labor and simple workers. For thousands of years, it seems that we can all understand Li Bai's feeling of wanting to stop and not spitting.

If we can broaden our horizons a little and observe and think from Li Bai's whole creative background and personal situation at that time, we will find that although in his own life, Li Bai feels as if he has reached a dead end and can't see the way out and the light, so that he, like ordinary literati, can't hear the ape singing in autumn, but once he comes into contact with the fiery life and the generation of passion, it is even physical labor that has nothing to do with his usual life. Therefore, he can quickly forget his misfortunes and setbacks, hold his head high, enthusiastically eulogize life and praise labor, and all the beautiful things in the world will have a positive effect on him, so that he can re-germinate his creative inspiration. So he can walk out of the predicament again and again and rediscover the omnipresent truth, goodness and beauty in life. For example, he will soon be able to reproduce the life feelings of Qiupu people in his poems with a very appreciative eye. "In autumn, Putian will abandon Weng and collect fish and leave water." His wife Zhang tied a deep bamboo knot. "This is the sixteenth song of Autumn Pu Song. The fisherman fished day and night, and his wife didn't want to be idle. A net is set deep in the bamboo forest to catch birds, and the net is a net for catching birds and animals. The whole family is busy with their lives, but their mentality is very peaceful. This poem, known as Wang Wei's "Wangchuan Poem", was obviously written with a relaxed mind. It is this healthy psychology of constantly renewing oneself and constantly accepting new things that makes Li Bai an important subjective factor in writing a well-known cadenza no matter where he is!
