I no longer just want to be an elf with wings. On a moonlit night, I lean against the window with my slender hands and stick my red cheeks on the stone fence. In the shadow of the ancient ivy, there are fireflies swimming. I no longer keep a diary like a running account, but change it into dense and vague handwriting. The distance from ambition is not necessarily related to the quality of creation. Moreover, no matter what kind of work is completed, it can only be chosen by time and audience, and any words are redundant. Creators should always remain silent about the work itself, which is a right and virtue. When writing, I don't think about anything. When writing, I just want to draw the feelings hidden in my heart, and I just want to sort out this part of my life that I cherish very much.

Xi Murong, 1943 Sichuanese, originally from Inner Mongolia. After graduating from the Fine Arts Department of Taiwan Province Normal University, she went to Europe for further study, specializing in oil painting and studying etching prints. 1966 graduated with the first place from the Royal Academy of Art in Brussels, Belgium. He has held many solo exhibitions at home and abroad. He has won the Royal Belgian Gold Award, the Brussels Municipal Government Gold Award, two bronze awards of the European Artists Association, the Best Lyrics Award of the Jinding Award and the Zhongxing New Poetry Literature Award. He used to be a professor at Taiwan Province Hsinchu Teachers College for many years, and now he is a professional painter. There are more than 40 kinds of books, such as poetry collections, prose collections and picture albums, with readers all over the world. In the past ten years, I have devoted myself to exploring Mongolian culture and taking my hometown as my creative theme. In 2002, he was appointed honorary professor of Inner Mongolia University.
