The original text of the poem on the twelfth lunar month is to go up to the garden/to urge flowers:
In the Ming Dynasty, I went to the garden to announce the spring as soon as possible. The flowers bloom all night long, don't wait for the morning breeze to blow. The Decoration of the Decoration of the Decoration of the Imperial Palace / Appreciation of Poems to Promote Flowers
After Wu Zetian became emperor, on a cold winter day, he saw the wintersweet blooming in the palace, and suddenly the flowers were in full bloom, so he wrote a poem to encourage them. The flower poem: "In the Ming Dynasty, I went to Shangyuan to announce the spring as soon as possible. The flowers bloomed all night long, and they didn't wait for the morning breeze to blow." It ordered all the flowers to bloom together the next day. The next day, sure enough, all kinds of flowers and fruits obeyed the order. When Wu Zetian went to the Imperial Garden to enjoy the flowers, the climate seemed to have become particularly warm, and the ice in the pond had melted, suddenly turning into an early spring scene. Wu Zetian was very happy to see the green forest and the flowers blooming all over the garden, and she immediately ordered the palace people to hang red silk on these flowers and trees and hang them with gold medals as a reward. Among the hundreds of flowers, only the peony has never bloomed. Empress Wu was furious and ordered the palace servants to light charcoal fire to burn the branches and stems, and then the peonies bloomed in full bloom. However, Wu Zetian was still angry and ordered thousands of peonies in the imperial garden to be expelled from Chang'an and transplanted to Luoyang, the eastern capital, as punishment. Luoyang thus became the hometown of peonies. Flowers' birthday, spring flowers are in full bloom, and many places in the south often hold flower festivals and flower markets here for people to enjoy. Chengdu's "Rongcheng" is full of flowers, and a flower festival is held every February 15th. At that time, exotic flowers are displayed and exchanged at the venue, which is a typical legacy of the Flower Festival. In some areas, it is still customary for mothers to pierce their daughters' ears with colorful threads during the Flower Festival, hoping that their daughters will grow up to be blooming. In some places, groups of people go out for spring outings in the countryside on this day to enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature. In Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, people put small triangular flags in flower pots on the Flower Festival to celebrate the birthday of flowers. Local people believe that it is easiest to survive by planting flowers and grafting on this day. In places where the Flower Festival is celebrated on February 2, young men and women have the custom of eating outdoors on this day.
