A Tang poem by Emperor Yang Guang of Yang Di is unremarkable and a masterpiece of Qin Guan.

In all previous discussions about Ci, I think the most important thing is a remark made casually by Huang Bu in Song Dynasty: "In modern times, the author is not as good as Qin Shaoyou. For example, "Sunset in the West, Ten Thousand Points in Western jackdaw, Running Water Around the Lonely Village", although illiterate, knows that it is a natural good word. " (Wu Zeng's "Can Change Zhai Hua Ci", Volume 1) This sentence recommends Qin Guan (Zi Shaoyou) as the first poet in the world, which is of course a matter of opinion. However, the most important thing is that this short sentence inadvertently captures the two core features of ci as a style.

"Outside the setting sun, there are 10,000 points in the west of Western jackdaw, and the water flows around the lonely village", which is the last sentence of Qin Guan man Fang Ting. Strictly speaking, it is not original by Qin Guan, but adapted from two poems by Emperor Yangdi Yang Di, "There are 10,000 western Western jackdaw, and a lonely village is surrounded by flowing water". It is impossible not to know the source of his erudition, but he, like many later ci theorists, praised the enlightenment of Qin Guan instead of Yang Di's original poems. In fact, it contains some differences between poetry and words.

Emperor Yang Di's poem "10,000 points west of Western jackdaw, flowing water around the lonely village" is not a first-class poem, but Qin Guan's slightly modified word "10,000 points west of Western jackdaw, flowing water around the lonely village" has become a punch line. What is the secret? The ancients made many explanations, but they often couldn't tell why. Among the materials I have read, only He of A Qing Dynasty is pertinent and complicated. Generally speaking, Qin Guan added the word "outside the sunset", which set a desolate and illusory background for "West Western jackdaw", "Running Water" and "Lonely Village". Emperor Yang Di used five words as a sentence to describe two scenes symmetrically, but Qin Guan combined three scenes into one scene with long sentences and short sentences, presenting an excellent picture. Therefore, although the sentence changes are small, it has the effect of turning the stone into gold. Secondly. (Poetry Raft) From this example, we can see that poetry is always symmetrical and stable, so poetry often gives people a symmetrical and stable aesthetic feeling; Words are asymmetric and fluid, so words will bring different aesthetic feeling to people. Take architecture as an analogy: Poetry is like the Forbidden City in Beijing, always horizontal and vertical; Like Suzhou gardens, Ci always has a winding path leading to a secluded place.
