Grain Rain, formerly known as Gu Hengdong, 1940, was born in Ningjin, Hebei. Professor of Western Languages Department, School of Foreign Languages, Nankai University, a famous translator in China. The translated and published children's literature works include The Complete Works of krylov's Fables, Pushkin's Fairy Tales, ushinski's Fairy Tales and emerald city's Magician. He also translated and published 300 Famous Russian Poems, Pushkin's Poems on Love, Everything Begins with Love, Selected Poems of Gamzatov, etc. 1999 was awarded Pushkin Memorial Medal and honorary certificate by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. He used to be vice president of Pushkin Research Association, director of Russian Literature Research Association and deputy secretary general of Tianjin Translators Association.

Ren Rongrong, formerly known as Ren Genlu, also known as Ren Yiqi, is from Heshan, Guangdong, 1923. Contemporary famous translator and children's literature writer. 1945 graduated from China Literature Department of Shanghai Daxia University. He has served as deputy director of the editorial department of Children's Publishing House and deputy editor-in-chief of Shanghai Translation Publishing House. He has been working in Chinese for a long time and published the first translation of children's literature in 1945. Since then, he has translated a large number of foreign children's literature works, and created fairy tales "Unhappy without brains", children's poems "Dad's Teacher", "A man who can be big or small" and "A book for giants". He has won the first prize of the Second National Children's Literature Creation Award, Chen Bochui Children's Literature Outstanding Contribution Award, Soong Ching Ling Children's Literature Special Contribution Award, ibby Translation Award and Asian Children's Literature Award. He used to be a deputy to the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the first to fifth directors of the Shanghai Writers Association, and the vice chairman of the Shanghai Translators Association and the Chinese Writers Association.
