Tao Yuanming wrote poems with the theme of Taohuayuan and Taohuaxi, which first appeared in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. This poem Peach Blossom Creek expresses the poet's yearning and pursuit for Taoyuan, a secluded place, and shows the author's own interest in life as an alpine hermit. Zhang Xu was born in Wu (now Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province). Kaiyuan and Tianbao are alive. He used to be the county magistrate of Changshu.
