What does it mean to go boating and look for traces of spring in the sea?

In the fields of literature and art. I dabble extensively in different literature and look for traces of spring in my works of art.

1. There are two concepts of "boating" and "poetic sea" in ancient China culture, in which "boating" refers to water rafting and sightseeing, and "poetic sea" refers to the vast field of poetic creation. Therefore, the word "boating in the ocean of poetry" vividly expresses the process of getting inspiration and creation in the field of literature and art, just like drifting on the sea by boat.

2. This sentence comes from Chen Xingzhen's couplets. The first part: boating poems, looking for traces of spring, and the second part: boating on the lake, looking for traces of summer.
