Does Qingyuan belong to Guangzhou?

Qingyuan does not belong to Guangzhou, but is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province. Located in the north-central part of Guangdong Province, China, in the middle and lower reaches of Beijiang River, it is adjacent to Shaoguan in the north and northeast, Guangzhou in the southeast and south, Foshan in the south and Zhaoqing in the west.

The geology of Qingyuan city is mostly the Hunan-Guangdong fold belt of Huaxia activation platform, and the market situation is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. On August 26th, 2022, Qingyuan City was officially named "China Ecological Poetry City" by China Poetry Society.

Qingyuan is one of the national 18 hot spring cities and the only hot spring city in Guangdong province. The city found 26 hot spring resources, ranking first in Guangdong. Famous scenic spots include Qingxin Hot Spring Resort, the first AAAA-level hot spring tourist attraction in China.

The complex diversity of landform, climate and soil in Qingyuan City forms an ecosystem with forests as the main body, which constitutes the species gene bank of rare animals and plants in southern China. Wild animals under special state protection include pythons, macaques, pangolins and small-clawed otters.
