2. Before Liang Qichao founded the magazine "New Fiction", scholars with feudal ideas generally regarded it as a path and left it to fend for itself. What's more, they regard novels and operas as teaching prostitutes and thieves, and advocate banning them in this name. At that time, Liang Qichao observed the development of China literature from the perspective of evolution, and thought that the development of vernacular literature since the Song and Yuan Dynasties was a great evolution of China literature, that is, novels and operas should be the mainstream of modern literature in China.
