Don't doubt, just believe-pilgrim's progress

As a Christian, this book is a must-read, and Munger and Franklin also strongly recommend it. Not long ago, I liked this book and animated films. Pilgrim's progress is divided into two parts. I mainly share the first part of the story of Christians going to heaven.

Why do Christians go to heaven? Because he wants eternal life.

The cognitive understanding of Christians is that there is a sacred, pure and eternal industry in heaven; No crying, no sadness. And his present situation is that he has a heavy "burden" on his back that needs to be unloaded urgently, and neither he nor the people of the whole city can help him. In order to unload it, he will go to heaven. And this burden refers to his earthly pressure, sadness, guilt and so on.

He decided to persuade his family, friends and relatives to leave his hometown and destroy the city as soon as possible. But after repeated persuasion, no one believed him. With faith, he took the initiative to embark on the road to heaven.

Christians meet obstructionists on the road, such as stubbornness, accidents and Apollon, the demon king, all to make him hate the cross. Christians, on the other hand, defeated the demon king Apollon by faith, showing the power of God. By loving our God, they have won too much.

On the way, I met helpers, preachers, good people, doubters and gatekeepers. To let Christians know that God always reminds us at critical moments and never delays things. For example, to be kind, people and gods who come here will never abandon them; Explain that what you see is temporary and what you can't see is forever; The gatekeeper said warily that as long as you walk in the middle of the road, you won't get hurt. Christians have come along by faith.

On the way, he also met obedient, naive, lazy, loyal, talkative and hopeful passers-by. Some are stumbling blocks on the road, allowing Christians to distinguish between true and false, and some are partners, in order to strengthen his confidence.

On the way to heaven, Christians also stumbled four times because of doubts.

For the first time, I doubt that God's path is not the fastest. He wants to take a shortcut and go his own way. In the event of an accident, the easy road referred to by the accident leads to hell;

The second time, I was wondering if God's way could be more comfortable. He let his guard down, fell asleep during the day, lost his file and wasted a lot of time.

The third time, I doubt that God's way is not the best. He chose the right path, but ended in despair.

The fourth time, I doubt that God's way has its own power. Because of his pride, he talked with flatterers and fell into a trap.

Don't doubt, as long as you believe, we will always walk on the straight and narrow road because of faith, and don't stay on the road, so as not to meet the wicked who go their own way, take detours and pay the price. Although we stumble because of doubt, God will have mercy on us and guide us along the way to forgive us all our sins.
