Du Mu's Life
Du Mu was born in the 10th year of Zhenyuan in Tang Dezong (794) and died in the 10th year of Yuanhe in Tang Xianzong (845) at the age of 52. His father is Du and his mother is Wang. He is a famous writer and politician in the Tang Dynasty. Du Mu was smart, studious and well-read. At the age of 14, he was able to write beautiful poems. Later, he was admitted to Jinshi and worked as an assistant minister in the official department, an assistant minister in the ritual department and a young gentleman. However, because of his political views, he was repeatedly relegated. He was down and out all his life, but he still insisted on literary creation.
