What are the characteristics of Huang Tingjian's poems?

"Huang Tingjian Style" in Song Dynasty, also known as "Valley Style", is characterized by being good at refining words and using allusions, making strange and hard words and trying to surprise them. Huang Tingjian holds that poetry is "without words and nowhere", and ancient poetry is used to make poetry, which is called "turning stone into gold". Huang used a lot of allusions and used them to innovate. For example, he wrote a poem to his friend Huang Jifu: "I live in Junnanhai, Beihai, and I can't help but thank you for your letter.
