The whole poem is a peasant woman's inner monologue. The scenery in the poem constitutes a picture of a mountain village returning late. When the sun goes down, chickens enter the nest, and cattle and sheep return to the nest, it is the time when the labor is over and the family is reunited. While the gentleman is in service and can't return, it exaggerates the lonely and miserable heart of the peasant woman, and as a metaphor, it highlights the heroine's yearning.
