Appreciation of the poem "A Gentleman in Service"

This article "The Serviceman", selected from The Book of Songs Feng Wang, is a speech about thinking about women, which shows a farmer's father and daughter's deep yearning and eager concern for her husband who has served abroad for a long time, and reflects the suffering brought to the people by frequent wars and corvees at that time from the side of family life.

The whole poem is a peasant woman's inner monologue. The scenery in the poem constitutes a picture of a mountain village returning late. When the sun goes down, chickens enter the nest, and cattle and sheep return to the nest, it is the time when the labor is over and the family is reunited. While the gentleman is in service and can't return, it exaggerates the lonely and miserable heart of the peasant woman, and as a metaphor, it highlights the heroine's yearning.
