I rowed the boat to the shore and docked beside the misty continent. At dusk, my guest rekindled new sadness.

"Moving the boat to Zhu Jiong, the sun sets, remembering the old days" echoes the title of the poem, describing the scene of the poet sleeping at night. "Yanzhu" creates a hazy environment and plays a very important role in setting off the poet's inner sadness.
"Ke" points out the poet's situation, being in a foreign land, and his inner sadness can be imagined. At dusk, it was supposed to be the time for birds to return to their nests and pedestrians to go home, but he was in a foreign land and his heart would be even more melancholy. A word "new" gives people a sense of growth and shows more and stronger sadness.
