Completed in 1808, it is one of his few works with titles in every movement, and it is also the most explicit one of Beethoven's nine symphonies. By this time, Beethoven was completely deaf. This work shows his attachment to nature in this situation, and it is a work reflecting memories.
This work premiered in Vienna on 1808 and was conducted by Beethoven himself. On the premiere program, he wrote: "Memories of rural life are more about love than scenery". The whole work is delicate and touching, unpretentious, quiet and comfortable, and it is one of the most popular symphonies in the world with Beethoven's Symphony No.5 in C minor.
Extended data:
This is a movement describing meditation. Accompanied by the second violin, viola and cello, the first theme presented by the first violin is melodious, lively and clear. Music is like a clean stream, soothing and calm. Occasionally, the smoky wind blows slightly, causing slight ripples on the water, distorting the shadows of white clouds and trees on the water.
The Woods in the distance seem to take a deep breath, and the rhythm of music opens and closes slightly, suggesting that the rhythm of life is cultivated in the vast nature. A group of woodwind instruments imitated birdsong to break the silence, and the music was more poetic.
