A spiritual dialogue between me and Tao Yuanming
One day in 3004, I was lucky enough to get on a time machine. I wanted to travel through time and space to meet Tao Yuanming, a great poet I had admired for a long time. .
The time machine traveled through time and space. The huge speed made me feel a little dizzy and fell into a trance. When I opened my eyes, I had landed in front of a thatched cottage.
Compared with modern civilization, everything in front of me is so backward, but because there is a great poet living in the thatched cottage, I still feel respect for him. I saw three thatched houses surrounded by green mountains and green waters. Behind the houses were green bamboos, and in front of the houses was a small courtyard surrounded by fences. There are various flowers and plants planted in the courtyard, the most common ones are chrysanthemums, and chickens are leisurely foraging among the flowers. There is a small river in front of the courtyard with crystal clear water. I was mesmerized by the pastoral scenery in front of me.
I walked into the courtyard and pushed open the ajar bamboo door. I walked into the thatched cottage which was not very spacious and bright but was neat and elegant. A hale and hearty old man stood up from his chair with a book in his hand. , saluted me:
"I have come to welcome you as distinguished guests, but I hope you will forgive me for not being able to welcome you from afar!"
I also saluted deeply and said:
"Don't be polite, I'm sorry for bothering you!"
