Why is the Tang Dynasty the age of poetry?

The Tang Dynasty was the age of poetry. In the history of ancient literature in China, Tang poetry is regarded as the same as pre-Qin prose, Han Fu, Parallel Prose of Six Dynasties, Song Ci, Yuan Qu and Ming and Qing novels, undoubtedly because it represents the highest achievement of Tang literature. The Complete Poems of Tang Dynasty compiled in Qing Dynasty, Complete Poems of Tang Dynasty and Complete Poems of Tang Dynasty compiled in later generations contain nearly 52,000 poems with more than 2,300 authors. Its number, range of authors, styles and genres, and great influence are unprecedented. A number of great poets and famous artists, such as Li Bai, Du Fu and Bai Juyi, have emerged. Therefore, it also represents the highest achievement of China's classical poetry.
