Borges [Argentina]
1
At the top of the mountain
The garden is full of moonlight,
The moonlight is golden.
More valuable is the night shadow.
The touch of your lips.
2
Under the cover of dusk
A bird's solo
Has fallen into silence.
You are walking in the garden.
You must have missed something.

Jorges Luis Borges, Argentine novelist and poet. 1899 was born in Buenos Aires to a family of doctors of British descent. When I was a child, I had a British tutor and dabbled in many European and American classics. Middle school began to write poetry, and 1923 began to publish poetry. His creation was influenced by the Spanish extremist school, Kafka, Poe and others, and gradually formed his own style.
Short Song is the creative achievement of Borges' study of Japanese classical poetry, which has the charm of oriental poetry art. The two short songs selected are all about love, but each has its own emphasis, angle and poetry.
The first "Short Song" is an art of external expression, starting from vision and touch, writing what you see and feel with touch. Pay attention to color, light and shape, and delicate touch. Write the beauty of the mountain first, then the beauty of the garden, and then write the moonlight as precious as gold, which makes us feel how wonderful and precious the moonlight in the garden in the mountain is, but what is even more wonderful and precious is the touch of the lover's lips. From high to low, from far to near, from bright to dark, from scenery to characters, from vision to touch, we all have a vivid feeling of being there. The poem is extremely concise, with only five lines, but it is beautifully written, implicitly and fully expressing love and praise for lovers. There is no spreading description and lyrical and argumentative sentences in the poem, but it writes vivid and clear three-dimensional scenes, expresses strong feelings and firm love view, showing that the poet has mastered modern poetry art to a perfect degree.
The second "short song" is the art of inner expression. Starting from the auditory and psychological state, it writes the contents of auditory sounds and psychological activities. Rewrite the subtle sounds in the twilight, write a solo of a bird first, and then return to silence. It was in the silence of this night that I heard the footsteps of lovers wandering.
It is written in detail, and the smallest voice is mainly to express the poet's thoughtfulness and care for his lover. This makes us feel that it was in the silence of dusk that the poet suddenly heard a bird's solo, and then he seemed to hear something in the silence. What's that noise? From far and near, from vague to clear. Ah, this is your footsteps. You are walking in the garden. What do you think? Maybe you missed something. This has changed from rewriting pronunciation to focusing on writing psychological activities, and writing pronunciation is only for writing psychological activities. The "short song" ends here, which is meaningful and has the characteristics of oriental poetry.
Of course, the similarities between the two "short songs" are all about the feelings of lovers, and both focus on mental state and psychological feelings. Only in the first poem, it is through the external contact of two people to express the happy feeling of love. In the second poem, the nostalgia of love is expressed through psychological contact and psychological collision between two lovers. The two have the same effect.
