Li Deyu left one or two hundred poems in his life. As a famous person in the late Tang Dynasty, he was demoted all his life. It is not difficult to see the expression of the author's thoughts and feelings in the poem "The Former Residence of Maoshan in Liulangzhong".

The first sentence, "It is a day of hope to unload the barren steps", opens the whole background. When the sun went down slowly, there was a sound of hooves on the bare stone steps, and the poet dismounted and stood up. The following description of the scenery is implied in the action of "dismounting". Not far away, gurgling water flowed over the stone, and there was a gurgling sound quietly. The latter sentence is a continuation of the previous sentence, and it is a scene that comes into view after dismounting.

The third sentence "Birds sing and flowers fall, but people are silent." Flowers bloom and fall, and birds sing in the distance. It's empty and quiet here, and no one comes. The Silence of the Human Voice contrasts the emptiness and silence in the mountains. The last sentence made the author deeply moved, "The window of the lonely mountain covers the white clouds". The window of the cabin on the mountain is lonely and can only cover the white clouds floating away. There is no way to be lonely at the window of the mountain. Here, the author gives the feelings of the mountain window people and writes the quiet living environment of friends with the mountain window. The word "mask" vividly depicts the silence of the mountain window, which can only be contrasted with the white clouds in the sky, highlighting the seclusion in the mountain.

The author of the whole poem shows a quiet and lonely scene of Maoshan's former residence through the description of the scene in front of him. Things are wrong, things are wrong, and people are more scattered. Not from the heart, but through the prospect of the eyes to express their feelings, as well as the vicissitudes of life sigh welled up in my heart.
