Love should be as pure as snow in the mountains and as bright as clouds on the moon.
I heard that you have two hearts, so I came to break up with you.
Today is like the last party, and tomorrow we will break up.
I moved my feet slowly along the edge of the road, and my past life flowed like water in a ditch, never returning.
When I decided to take the king away from home, I didn't cry like an ordinary girl.
I hope to win a heart and never leave each other.
The love of men and women is as light and soft as a fishing rod, and the fish is as lovely as a living wave.
Men should attach importance to friendship, and there is no money to compensate for the loss of sincere love.
Translation:
Love should be as pure as snow on the mountain and as bright as the moon in the clouds. I heard that you have second thoughts, so I came to break up with you. Today is like the last party, and we will break up tomorrow. I walked slowly along the ditch, and my past life was like a ditch flowing eastward, which never came back. Sad and crying, I resolutely left home and ran away with you, unlike ordinary girls.
I thought that if I married a loyal man, I could fall in love and be happy forever. Men and women love each other like fishing rods, and the fish is so cute! Men should put affection first, and lose their sincere love, which money and wealth can't make up for.

Poetry appreciation
Regarding the interpretation of this poem, A Jin native Ge Hong recorded in Miscellanies of Xijing: "Sima Xiangru will hire a Maoling woman as a concubine, and Zhuo Wenjun will write" Whitehead Poetry "to kill himself." If the records in Miscellanies of Xijing are correct, Zhuo Wenjun did write A Ballad with White Head, but now it is impossible to confirm that this song was written by Zhuo Wenjun. Because this lyric is not recorded in Xijing Miscellanies.
Judging from the content of this poem, it should be a "street ballad" in the Han Dynasty, belonging to the Chu tune in "Songs of Harmony". This ballad is a poem about a woman expressing her determination to her lover who is not good at emotion. The poem begins with the contrast of "snow on the mountain, moon in the clouds", and the heroine states the standard of sincere love: it should be as bright as snow on the mountain and moon in the clouds.
Since I heard that the person I love has two hearts, I will show my attitude, break with it and put forward my wish: "I am willing to be single-minded and never give up." Through the writing of the heroine's words and deeds, this folk song shows the heroine's pure and strong feelings, sober and profound thoughts, hearty and bold personality, which makes the heroine's image full and touching.
