An excellent teacher once had a "teaching dream" in his heart. Therefore, he decided to devote his whole life to a career in education. Only in this way can teachers be respected by generations of students and parents. This is my dream.
I am a person who came from the mountains. My family was very difficult when she was a child. I once heard my grandma say that during the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, when the world was in chaos, my grandfather Chen Zhongshan went to the neighboring town of Xinchang to sell things. He was suddenly robbed by bandits at a place called "Chen Ancestral Hall". During the fight, due to the large number of bandits, In the end, Grandpa was shot to death by the bandit leader. The sad news came, making the family wail and cry. At that time, the father's baby was only seven months old. After wailing, his father Chen Faquan was raised by his grandmother with difficulty.
After liberation, his father married his virtuous mother Yu Shufen. During those difficult years, his father and mother raised his brother Chen Xianglin and sister Chen Xiangying while doing farm work. When he was two years old, his mother suddenly passed away due to illness. Therefore, in order to make a living, his father had to remarry his stepmother, and the family added younger brothers Chen Xiangzhi, Chen Xiangfu, and Chen Xiangfang. In the 1970s, the country transitioned from a wasteland to a system-based economy and experienced ten years of turmoil. The family also lived a hard life without much change, not to mention the grandfather and six brothers in the family. Brothers and sisters. In the days when the production team was a collective, a family of nine people had to eat enough to fill their bellies. The father and mother could only do the production team's heaviest farm work during the day. Only at the end of the year did they get more food from the production team. . This food is not enough to feed our six brothers and sisters. Therefore, my father had to do farm work in the production team during the day, cut down some trees on the mountain at night, sell them in Xinchang Ancient Town, exchange them for money, and then go to other people's homes to buy their extra "food stamps, cloth stamps and Meat stamps,” used to support the family. Later, we even went to dig coal in the "Tiangongmiao" coal mine, risking high-risk labor in exchange for money to support our family, and we lived like this. In 1978, when I was seven years old, I went to school, but the school conditions were still difficult. The school was about two kilometers away from my home. The mountain road was rugged and bumpy when walking on it. The school was very dilapidated. When it rained, the roof would leak, often. There are two classes of students from different grades sitting in a classroom. In particular, the conditions for teachers are particularly poor, and there are too few teachers, with only 2 to 3 teachers for five grades. Then, there can only be one teacher teaching textbooks of different grades, and two students of different grades sit in the same classroom, teaching two different grade classes interchangeably in the same teaching class every day. That is, when I was in school, I had to go out and cut a back of pigweed every morning when I got up. Then I went home, had a meal, and then went to school. When I get home from school, I still cut grass to feed the pigs, because only if there are pigs, there will be pork to eat during the Chinese New Year. At that time, the tuition fee for one semester was 3.5 yuan, but it was still unaffordable for many families, not to mention that the brothers and sisters were studying at the same time. Although the tuition fees were not paid on time, my father would earn some money little by little and eventually pay the school tuition fees that our brothers and sisters owed the school. Sometimes, when I see other students taking "rice balls" for lunch at school, I feel that what I take is just "corn buns" and there is such a big difference from others. So, when I went home and asked my mother for some, my mother said, "Son, my mother will make you a rice ball tomorrow, and you can take it to school for lunch." Sure enough, the next day, my mother really made a few rice balls. "Put it on the fire to roast it and distribute it to us brothers and sisters to take to school.
In 1984, the spring breeze of China's reform and opening up swept across the land of China. I was also admitted to Datong Middle School with excellent results. This was the beginning of my "teaching dream". I saw that there was a huge difference between the commune school and the Murakami school. I am determined to study hard, go to a normal school, and then return to my hometown to be a teacher, so that more children in the mountains can get out of the mountains through reading. At that time, it was also my dream to get out of the mountains by studying. When I was in middle school, I lived on campus. My family brought 30 kilograms of rice to the school every month. The school cooked meals together and gave me two cents a day to eat vegetables. But we can also appreciate the spring breeze of reform and opening up. Because, before the reform and opening up, even if you studied in a rural central school, your living conditions were more difficult than now.
In 1988, he was finally admitted to the then-Qionglai Normal School. In 1991, after graduating from the Normal School, I hurriedly returned to my hometown, Datong Zhonghua Village, to teach primary school courses. That is, I said that we must teach the class well so that the children in the mountains can pass good grades. Like me, it is my goal to get out of the mountains. So he found someone to repair the overturned and messy rural teaching house. Murona's top priority was to make plans for the future of the mountain village school. Unexpectedly, society developed too fast. Two years later, all rural studies were stopped, and all students studying at the rural level were transferred to Datong Central School. I also transferred to Datong Town Central School to teach. At that time, I also found a lover, got married to my colleague Zheng He, and started a beautiful family. Two years later, I had my own lovely son, which also added to the happiness of the family. Although our family is ordinary, we have a happy heart. During the holidays after work, our family will relax and go to nearby ancient towns to refresh the joy of life.
As for my five older brothers, sisters, and younger brothers and sisters, they gave up the idea of ????going to school to get out of the mountains, and now they work in the countryside and earn money by working outside to support their families.
In Datong Central School, there is no shortage of teachers like rural schools. There are enough teachers in the central school, and everyone teaches according to their grade. At that time, there were many teachers, and competition was fierce. Some teachers went into business overseas and made a lot of money by taking a leave of absence without pay. But I have persisted because of my "teacher dream." So how can we improve our children's academic performance? I have explored a method, which is to make children like me, so that they will listen carefully and their grades will improve. This method originated from the principle that when I was studying, whichever teacher I liked, I would listen carefully. So, this method was really effective, so I tried my best to make my children like me, and I got a lot of results. In 2001, he was rated as an outstanding teacher in Chengdu and became a member of the Chengdu famous teacher "Li Hairong Studio". Through Qionglai City and Chengdu City Unicom Hong Kong teacher training exchanges, we can get more experience sharing on how to improve children's learning, and use the teaching experience to educate students, and the students have indeed achieved good results. As a result, I was appointed as a head teacher for the fifth and sixth grade of elementary school, which gave me more confidence to take root in the remote mountainous area and continue to work as a teacher. If you give, you will be rewarded. During my 29 years of teaching career, my name, Chen Xiangqun, has been attached to many awards, including the Chengdu "Nectar from the Heart of the Students - Love the Teacher Award".
Recalling our family history, from the difficult years of my grandparents to my parents, to my study career, those difficult years are still fresh in my memory. Thinking about it now, I feel a deep sense of vicissitudes in my heart. My "teacher's dream" was my firm belief. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and with the joint efforts of our generation who have the "teacher's dream" to teach, I am convinced that we can make all the students All children in China should read well and learn knowledge well. When they grow up, they will be able to use knowledge and technology to serve the motherland, change China, and build a better and stronger Chinese nation.
A person who walked out of the mountains explains an ordinary life. After walking out of the mountains, my life has changed tremendously. A few decades ago, we still lived in a dilapidated wooden house. Today, our house has become a building in Qionglai City, and we have also bought a car. In comparison, in just a few decades, earth-shaking changes have taken place, which we could not even imagine before. The son also successfully completed college and got a job. In this ordinary and harmonious family, it tells the story of the great changes of our ordinary family over the past century.
