Why are Tang poetry famous?

The Tang Dynasty was the golden age of China's poetry development, and poetry became the most common literary form in the Tang Dynasty, with works ranging from emperors, nobles, bureaucrats and literati to monks, Taoist priests, nuns and geisha. The content of Tang poetry is extremely rich, including the earth, mountains and rivers, battlefields, frontier fortress, villages, cities, class opposition, political situation, historical themes, people's lives at all levels, women's experiences and so on. All these reflect the historical development and all aspects of social life in the Tang Dynasty. This is not in Tang's previous poems. Poets in the Tang Dynasty developed various genres and forms of poetry, with many genres and different styles, showing a scene of a hundred flowers blooming. . The prosperity of Tang poetry is directly related to the imperial examination and the love of poetry. During the kaiyuan period, it was further stipulated that the examination should be devoted to poetry, and the required level was improved. These regulations set off a nationwide upsurge in learning poetry. Scholars all over the world, in order to commemorate the literati all their lives, study and write poems with great enthusiasm. According to many historical data, people began to learn poetry as early as childhood education in order to enter Jinshi smoothly. The works of some famous poets, such as Bai Juyi and Liu Yuxi, have been searched and collected by the people countless times and used as teaching materials in schools and private schools. In particular, the emperors of the Tang Dynasty also paid special attention to the examination of poetry. Every time Emperor Wenzong, Xuanzong and other emperors were elected as the top scholar of new subjects, they always asked whether there were outstanding talents in poetry and prose. They have great respect for poetry. The most remarkable literary achievement of the Tang Dynasty is the Tang poetry. Since Chen Ziang and the "four outstanding poets in the early Tang Dynasty", famous poets in the Tang Dynasty have emerged one after another, among which Li Bai, Du Fu, Cen Can and Wang Wei in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Li He, Han Yu and Bai Juyi in the middle Tang Dynasty, Li Shangyin and Du Mu in the late Tang Dynasty are several representatives. Their poems have different styles, including rich imagination of the mythical world and detailed description of real life, including passionate frontier poems, gloomy and heavy "poetic history" and fresh and refined pastoral poems. The isomorphism of these poems has become an outstanding representative of China's literary achievements. Although there were still outstanding poets in the Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the overall level of regular poetry and classical poetry was not as good as that of the Tang Dynasty, which made Tang poetry an insurmountable peak of classical poetry in China.
