People have always worshiped the founding emperors because they were mostly talented. For example, Qin Shihuang or Kublai Khan, they are the elite of the elite. Most of the impressions they left on people's minds were of expanding territories and competing for the Central Plains. However, because they often span one or several dynasties, these people generally do not speak together, let alone have any intersection. But there are exceptions, such as Zhao Kuangyin, who had an intersection with Zhu Yuanzhang and is said to be an elegant person.
During the Tang and Song Dynasties, Chinese poetry developed very rapidly. Whether they are dignitaries or poets, they will memorize two poems when they encounter something that interests them. As an emperor, he naturally could not live in peace with others, so the emperor also liked to write poems in front of ministers. Not to mention the level of these imperial poems, in fact there was no objection from the moment they spoke. For example, Emperor Qianlong was a person who liked poetry very much. He wrote more than 40,000 poems in his lifetime, but most of them were mediocre and could not really be passed down to the world.
Compared with Qianlong, Zhao Kuangyin of Song Taizu was obviously better in poetry creation. Although Zhao Kuangyin was born in a family of military officers and joined the army at a young age, he was indeed a very talented person. He personally participated in many battles with the Southern Tang and even the Khitan in the later weeks, and achieved remarkable results in these battles. It is for this reason that Zhao Kuangyin became the imperial leader of the Later Zhou Dynasty. But one time, Zhao Kuangyin won a battle and ordered his men to put a few wooden boxes on the carriage to make people think, and they all said that he had searched them all.
Even some people who were jealous of Zhao Kuangyin's talent told Chai Rong about it. Chai Rong was very angry after hearing this, and immediately rode to Zhao Kuangyin to investigate. When he opened the boxes, he was surprised because Chai Rong found that all the boxes were filled with books. Seeing Chai Rong's surprised expression, Zhao Kuangyin explained that because he was born in a remote place and had little education, he was particularly afraid of doing something wrong, so he wanted to study more and serve the emperor better. After hearing this, Chai Rong was so moved that even Zhao Kuangyin helped him up with his hands. From then on, he trusted Zhao Kuangyin even more.
When Zhao Kuangyin actually finished reading these books, he felt that he was no longer the complete military commander he was before. Instead, he felt like a Confucian general. So Zhao Kuangyin came up with the idea of ??poetry. After drinking with a good friend, when the sun came up, my friend recited a poem. They are all those who lead troops to fight. As you can imagine, the quality of this poem is not high. After Zhao Kuangyin listened to his best friend's poem, he immediately recited a song "The First Day of Singing". Although this poem does not pay attention to flatness, the whole poem depicts a magnificent scene and shows extraordinary momentum.
There are some idiots sitting there. After listening to this poem, they were naturally full of praise. This gave him full confidence in Zhao Kuangyin, who became very fond of poetry. After becoming emperor, I saw that no one in the court had read a book. I recalled the scene of drinking and writing poems that year, and I became full of confidence in writing poems. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, Zhao Kuangyin looked at the bright moon and had direct inspiration in his heart. He blurted out a very rhyming poem. Everyone present applauded, but although he memorized the first couplet, he could not pick up the second couplet anyway.
This made Zhao Kuangyin very embarrassed. Everyone present applauded and walked around the stadium, and it passed like this. Later it became a taboo in the Song Dynasty. No one dared to connect the last two sentences with this poem, and the poem became a headless poem with only one sentence. After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang was very curious when he heard historians talking about this matter, so when he knew the first two lines of Zhao Kuangyin's poem, he was immediately inspired. After thinking for a while, he completed the poem in two sentences, and the problem was finally solved.
However, later generations have mixed reviews about the poem written by these two people. Some people believe that a hundred years later, Zhu Yuanzhang would be able to connect with Zhao Kuangyin. This poem is difficult. In addition, Zhu Yuanzhang himself had never read calligraphy, which was really a breakthrough. But some people think this poem is not good because it is full of limericks.
