I think there are two big problems. First, for modern poetics, we always talk about western poetics, but we don't pay enough attention to China's traditional poetics. Why try to restore the Book of Songs? I just want to go back to the source of our poetry and read the Book of Songs with our current thinking. In fact, China's earliest collection of poems and songs is lovely free poems, especially the "national style" part, which shows that the freedom of form and soul is closer to our current poems than the old-style poems, and many places are very consistent with us when expressing emotions. We need to constantly imitate the traditions established by China's poems, and we can't let them be forgotten. It is wrong to think that new poetry is a foreign variety, and only attach importance to western writing theory and experience, and despise and abandon China's poetic tradition. Secondly, the new poetry has gone through nearly 90 years, and this year marks the 90th anniversary of the May 4th Movement. So, I want to know what the new poem owes.
