The Origin of The Book of Songs and the Evolution of the Name of "Six Arts of Poetry"

The six meanings of poetry refer to Fu, Bi, Xing, Feng, Ya and Ode. The first three layers mean the writing techniques of The Book of Songs, followed by narration, metaphor, saying other things before events. The latter three refer to the three parts of the Book of Songs: national style (folk poetry, *** 160, which is the essence of the Book of Songs), Xiaoya (court music) and Ode (priest music). The Book of Songs was originally a scattered collection of poems, which was later sorted out by Confucius. It is said that Three Hundred Poems was honored as a classic in the Han Dynasty, and Mao Heng's recitation was orthodox, so it was also called Mao Shi.
