Can ancient poetry really rise?

The Joy of Life is a tricky masterpiece, which has been deified by countless book lovers. Finally, this year, the TV series of the same name adapted from the novel Joy of Life met the audience. Once broadcast, it ushered in a double harvest of ratings and word of mouth.

In the original book, the protagonist Fan Xian is a particularly beautiful handsome guy. Why use the word beautiful? Because he is more feminine than most women, this TV series has been adapted and starred by Ruoyun Zhang. Although Ruoyun Zhang is also a handsome boy, if he is more beautiful than a woman, he is not enough. However, Fan Xian, starring Ruoyun Zhang, is very successful, and this TV series is still different from novels. If you really find a beautiful cream niche to play Fan Xian, the picture is too beautiful to look good, and it is estimated that there will definitely be spit.

Although Fan Xian in TV series has his own funny attributes and looks cynical, Fan Xian has real talent and practical learning. For some special reasons, the TV series adapted the novel from the beginning. Jasmine Zhang is a major in the history of literature. He likes to analyze the history of ancient literature with modern concepts. This practice was opposed by Professor Ye, a beautiful woman, and she refused to accept him as an apprentice. On the other hand, Jasmine Zhang still hasn't given up this idea. He took part in a novel essay, brought himself into his own works, returned to a certain era in ancient times, and became the hero's Fan Xian, while he kept all his memory knowledge in modern times and began his life in a different world.

As a mysterious illegitimate child, Fan Xian's life should be very hard. However, because Fan Xian has modern knowledge and ideas, coupled with the powerful martial arts as bodyguards, Fan Xian naturally ushered in his peak life. After Fan Xian came to Kyoto, he talked and laughed with many young talents in Beijing, and there was a faint gesture that made everyone feel at a loss. At a party, Fan Xian was famous for a Du Fu's "Ascending the Mountain". What really made Fan Xian famous in the world should be at the meeting with Mohan, a great writer in the Northern Qi Dynasty. There are many heavyweights, such as Qing emperors, princesses and civil and military officials. Zhuang Mohan was blackmailed by princess royal and framed the last four sentences of Fan Xian's "Climbing the Mountain" as the master's masterpiece. Fan Xian was unambiguous and decided to show his talents. He imitated hundreds of Li Bai's drinking poems, drank a jar of wine on the spot, and then began to recite ancient poems. Judging from TV dramas, Fan Xian's poems span a long time, including a series of famous sentences such as Li Bai, Li Yu, Su Dongpo and Xin Qiji.

With the strength of drinking, Fan wandered from time to time, lying on his back, ringing the bell, and muttering to himself. He was surprised to see the Qing emperor, and princess royal was very angry, which frightened the ministers. As the first person in the literary world, Zhuang Mohan framed Fan Xian's executor, but he was ashamed and angry and vomited blood directly. Fan Xian's posture is a bit like Zhuge Liang's rhetoric and Confucianism, but the others present don't talk. Of course, Fan Xian is still very moral. Before reciting poems, he said that these poems were not written by himself, but were recited by a celestial body in his dream. Although everyone present marveled at Fan Xian's talent, fairy tales were even more unreliable, so they were more willing to believe that these were Fan Xian's personal works. Fan Xian has voluntarily confessed the source of the poem, and he has a clear conscience. As for what others think, it doesn't matter.

Fan Xian voluntarily admitted that he had memorized all his poems.

The poems recited by Fan Xian in class excited the audience, and even imagined that if he returned to ancient times, he would be as eloquent as Fan Xian and become the object of public attention.

However, the ideal is full and the reality is very skinny. Imagine that if one really travels back to ancient times, one can really get along with ancient poems. I think this possibility is very small.

First of all, the problem of cross-dynasties. The peak of ancient poetry is Tang poetry and Song poetry. If the crossing of the dynasty is later than the Song Dynasty, the ancient poems recited will be meaningless. Even if some people are more knowledgeable and recite some poems of the Qing Dynasty, the poems of the Qing Dynasty have entered a period of decline. Although there are occasional masterpieces, it is difficult to compare with Tang poetry and Song poetry. In fact, stereotyped writing has existed since the end of the Southern Song Dynasty. After the Ming dynasty, stereotyped writing was basically stereotyped, and poetry was not the main content of the imperial examination. Even if some outstanding works of later generations are recited as their own works, it is estimated that they can't afford much splash.

If it was before the Tang and Song Dynasties, it would be of little use. Let's talk about the pre-Qin era first. The most famous poems in the pre-Qin period are The Book of Songs and Songs of the South. The book of songs has achieved great success in literature, and there are many excellent works, but they are all anonymous, which shows that poetry was not valued at that time. Chu Ci is the masterpiece of Qu Yuan, a great romantic poet, and was edited by later generations. It mainly includes the works of Qu Yuan, and some works by Song Yu, Dong Fangshuo and Liu Xiang. Qu Yuan is an important minister of Chu State. He served the country and the people all his life, but he was excluded by the villains. Later, Chu was defeated by Qin, and Qu Yuan threw himself into the river in grief and indignation. The reason why Chu Ci knows that the author is Qu Yuan is because of Qu Yuan's identity and legend, and mainly because his time was at the end of the Warring States Period, close to Qin and Han Dynasties, so it will be known to future generations. It can be seen that in the pre-Qin period, poetry and other literary themes were insignificant, and the format of Tang poetry and Song poetry was very different from that of popular poetry at that time, so reading it may not arouse others' chorus.

As for the Qin and Han Dynasties, Fu prevailed and poetry also existed. For example, the poems of Han Yuefu are mostly five-character long poems, and the format is similar to that of later generations. However, the poems of Han Yuefu are also anonymous authors, which also shows that the status of poetry is not high.

By the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, parallel prose was prevalent, and poetry also developed, resulting in many famous great poets, such as San Cao, Tao Yuanming, Xie Lingyun and so on. If you show off your poems in this period, you may get a celebrity title, but that's all. There were many celebrities in Wei and Jin Dynasties, but few of them could make a difference in politics.

Then the Sui and Tang Dynasties. At this time, it was the most prosperous period of poetry development. If you can make a good poem, you may win the reputation of the world. For example, if you can recite the excellent poems in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, and recite the excellent poems in the Northern Song Dynasty and the Southern Song Dynasty, you will definitely win the reputation of a great talent. As for how much you can do in your career after writing a poem, it depends on your personal performance.

Such an analysis, even if reciting Tang poetry and Song poetry, can only play back to a small part of ancient times. More importantly, there were many great poets in ancient times. Their political achievements seem very limited. Starting from Qu Yuan, Tao Yuanming, Li Bai, Du Fu, Li He, Liu Yong, etc., a series of the most outstanding great poets have had an eventful autumn. Many people have no enthusiasm for serving the country, but in the end they have made no contribution on the road of serving the country. Great poets like Bai Juyi and Su Dongpo are very lucky. Although they have been relegated in their lives, they have had a period of pride as officials, which is very rare. As far as poetic genius is concerned, I'm afraid no one is better than them, but even if they are born poets, they can't help them realize their political ambitions. I think it is very unlikely that a modern man who travels back to ancient times by reciting famous works will surpass these outstanding great poets. Therefore, even if we go back to the dynasty when poetry was highly valued, backrest poetry will not achieve much. Cao Cao and Cao Pi are very successful in politics, but they rely on outstanding military and political talents, and their development has nothing to do with writing poems. There are many outstanding politicians in history, and they may also write poems, but not by virtue of superior background or outstanding comprehensive quality.

Cao Cao, a lean and poet.

Back to "The Painted Skin", Fan Xian became famous all over the world with hundreds of drunken poems, became a hot talent, and his career was bright. But don't forget what Fan Xian is. He is the only son of Ye, the super behind-the-scenes boss. He is the blood of the Qing emperor, assisted by a number of etiquette such as Pingping Chen and Fan Jian, and protected by the super master Wu Zhu. Of course, Fan Xian's own ability is also quite strong. He is clever, careful and has a good personality. Against this background, it is difficult to have a bright future. His drunken poems are just a small flash of his brilliant life. Even without this feat, he will still have a bright life, just a little late.

So when you travel back to ancient times, what you want to do depends on your background and your own talent. It is impossible to get along well with Tang poetry and Song poetry with bare backs.
