The Creative Background of A Dictionary of Appreciation of 300 Ancient Poems

Poems of a Thousand Families, edited by Liu Kezhuang, a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, has been widely circulated among the people since the Song Dynasty and is a very famous children's enlightenment book. The selected poems are all works of the Tang and Song Dynasties, and most of them are literary works, which are easy to recite. In the 45th year of Kangxi (1707), the Complete Poems of Tang Dynasty, edited by Peng Dingqiu and Shen Sanzeng, has more than 48,000 poems and more than 2,000 authors. It is the most abundant collection of Tang poetry from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. Since then, due to the excavation of Dunhuang documents and the discovery of new Tang poems, the whole Tang poetry has been further improved and thousands of Tang poems have been added. Collected Poems of Tang Dynasty was published in the fifty-sixth year of Kangxi (17 18), and the editor was Shen Deqian, a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu. This book highlights Shen Deqian's literary thoughts and has a great influence on scholars in the Qing Dynasty. There are 300 * * poems and 20 poems in the whole book, which were originally selected by Judge from Hengtang, and are divided into six volumes.
