Bamboo Dao Jiang is also called Zhuyu Island. It is located in the south of Xiapu County, to the north of Dongwuyang, to the northeast of Jiang Sha Town 1.3 km, and about 0.9 km away from the nearest point of the mainland. It is famous for its bamboo production and waterfront. The island is an irregular rectangle, with a length of 0.58km from east to west, a width of 0.18km from north to south, and an area of about 0.106km2. Made of granite. The terrain is high in the east and low in the west, with the highest point of Hutougang at an altitude of 47.3 meters. The bedrock sandy coast has a straight coastline, about 1.36 km long, and the beach around the island covers an area of 40 square kilometers. The surface in the southeast is rocky, and the northwest is sandy, with many weeds. Annual average temperature 18.3℃, 1 month average temperature 8.7℃, July average temperature 28. 1℃, annual precipitation 1390 mm, annual foggy days about 20 days, and typhoon season from July to September. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhang, Zheng, Chen and Sun successively moved here. In the Ming Dynasty, the soldiers moved repeatedly, and it was restored in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662 ~ 1722). There are 3,425 people living in the northern part of the island, engaged in fishing, transportation and aquaculture of kelp, seaweed, shrimp and oysters.
