On Freedom and Slavery
George Moses Horton
Alas! Is that what I was born for,
Wearing this slave-like chain?
Deprived of all the happiness of creation,
After hardships, toil and pain!
How long I've been tied down,
Longing for freedom!
Alas! Do I still have to be simple
Deprived of freedom.
Oh, my God! Is there no relief?
This side is the silent grave.
Relieve pain, calm sorrow
The pain of a slave?
E, freedom, your cheerful voice,
Roll over my battered ears!
Let my sadness drown in joy,
Drive away my fears.
Say to the evil oppression, stop:
You tyrants are no longer angry,
Let the joyful voice of peace,
Now call bannermen soaring.
Fly on the wings of that pigeon
Singing for you for a long time,
Breathing her notes from the Woods of Africa,
Voice of freedom.
Oh, Liberty! Your gold medal,
So often pursued by blood
We long for your sacred sun to rise,
A gift from the God of Nature!
Ordered slavery to hide her gaunt face,
And Babali * * * fly:
I despise seeing such a sad shame.
I lay in a place of slavery.
Dear Liberty! On your chest,
I am eager to breathe;
Like a swan in its nest,
I would like to retire for your love.
Oh, the sacred balm of sanctuary heaven!
I fled to your branch.
In your shadow, the storm will calm down,
Singing the song of freedom!
World famous English poems II
Lettuce with private eyes
Richard Brautigan
Three boxes of lettuce with private eyes,
Detective's name and portrait
There is a magnifying glass on the side.
Boxes of lettuce,
Form a huge cross in the human imagination
And his desire to name it.
Objects of this world.
I think I'll call this place Calvary.
Have some salad for dinner.

anthem
Alicia Suskin Ostrico
I'm not lyrical anymore.
I can't play the harp.
For your happiness.
I won't be happy.
It's noise for you, too
Will I lament?
Because I know you drink.
Lament, too,
Like wine.
So I repeat dully
You hurt me.
I hate you.
I looked away from the hill.
I won't kill for you.
I will never love you again.
Unless you ask me

About looking for models
Allen Dugan
The tree of time has other things to do.
Except their trees. What is this?
I'm starving myself,
Thirsty, thirsty for their fountain, but I can't drink it.
Their mud and sunshine are complete.
I don't understand these things. I've been drinking for months
In the soil, eat light,
And then quickly dry in cold.
They came forward in some way,
The botanist will tell me what to do.
What bothers me is "something else",
So I often go back to the forest.
Chapter five on world-famous English poetry
My first son.
Author: Ben Jonson
Goodbye, my right hand child, and happiness;
My sin is to expect too much from you, dear child.
You lent it to me for seven years, and I want you to pay it back.
By your destiny, on a just day.
Ah, can I lose all my fathers now? why
Will man lament the state he should envy?
Escaped from the world and physical anger so quickly,
If there is no other pain, what about age?
Rest in peace. If anyone asks, just say that you are lying here.
Ben Jonson is his best poem.
For his sake, from now on, all his vows,
Because the person he loves may never like too much.
