Lake poets: Wordsworth, Coleridge, Southey.
Named after living in a lake far from the industrial zone in Britain, it is not a spontaneous literati group. Take Wordsworth's Preface to Lyric Songs as his romantic declaration (Lyric Songs is a collection of Wordsworth and Coleridge).
Romantic literature masters no longer observe the world with the naked eye, but rely on the fantasy of angels. Emotional indulgence is also one of the factors to cultivate romantic lyric poetry. Wordsworth regards poetry as a "natural expression of strong feelings" and completely focuses on the expression of self-emotion. The real world is only a reflection of personal expression. In addition, the pursuit of nature also affects the theme and language of poetry. Wordsworth suggested that poets should: "choose events and plots in daily life." Wordsworth wrote the word "nature" in his poems, depicting the pictures of mountains, rivers, lakes and rural residents in northern England. This subtlety has not affected the magnificence of nature. The nature written by Scottish writer Scott, who is famous for his historical novels, is almost comparable to that written by botanists. Keats is keen on ancient styles and Greek myths, and at the same time has a natural feeling instinct. In his poems, he looks at them with almost all his senses. Listen, taste and breathe, and feel all kinds of brilliant colors, beautiful scenery, sounds and fragrant smells provided by nature. Moore, an Irish romantic writer, is simply the embodiment of keen sense. He seems to live in all the strangest and most beautiful environments in nature. The sunshine in his works fascinates us, and the nightingale in his poems fascinates us.
William wordsworth was born in a lawyer's family in the north of England on April 7, 1970. His mother died at the age of eight, and then he was sent to a boarding school famous for its lakes and mountains. Since then, my father died at the age of 13, and my uncle and grandmother took several children with them. Wordsworth is closest to his sister Dorothy Xiguan.
1787, Wordsworth entered Cambridge University, became familiar with Greek Latin literature, and mastered Italian, French and Spanish at the same time. 1790, he traveled on foot in France, Switzerland and Italy. At that time, it was the French Revolution. He felt the joy of the people when the French Revolution and the revolution just won, and praised the revolution with such poems:
Happiness! Living at that dawn,
Young people are like going to heaven.
Wordsworth was full of enthusiasm for the French Revolution at this time, which he called a revolution showing humanity and perfection. In France, he met many gentle gironde people. A year later, on his second trip to France, he met a French girl named Annette Hualong. The following year, they gave birth to a daughter. However, this marriage was opposed by his uncle. The crowd rushed into the king's residence and arrested his sympathizers. After January, the crowd rushed into the prison and killed hundreds of royalists. Seeing this, Wordsworth suddenly left his lover 1793 and quietly returned to England. After returning to England, Wordsworth experienced several years of pain. Apart from financial difficulties, he is often frustrated that he can't go back to his lover. In addition, his gironde friend was suppressed by jacobins, and a double sense of disillusionment haunted him. When he was desperate, one of his classmates died and left him 900 pounds, which enabled him to move to the countryside with his sister and realized his desire to explore the meaning of life from the soul of nature.
1759 is a lucky year for Wordsworth. This year, his brother and sister met Coleridge for the first time. They hit it off, so they decided to move to Coleridge's house. From then on, the three of them walked together, talked for a long time and encouraged each other. 1789, their * * * achievement "Lyric Ballads Collection" came out.
Because of the nature of the time,
The rough happiness of childhood has become the joy and play of the past.
It's everything to me. My mood at that time.
It's hard to explain. A noisy waterfall.
Like a lingering passion in my heart. Stones,
High mountains, deep and dark jungles,
Their color and shape used to be
Let me fall in love; A kind of love and affection,
You don't need to give them ideas.
Deep charm, no need to add more.
Don't rely on visual intuition.
Wordsworth's description of nature seems to describe a feeling that has long since disappeared, a feeling that only existed for a moment in the transitional period and turned into introspection and doubt. Wordsworth keeps accumulating natural impressions for deep thinking and complete absorption. Later, he took out such impressions from the inventory of the soul and re-examined and appreciated them. As he told us in this poem, he directly felt the exciting joy from the beauty of nature when he was young. How to transform it into a peaceful absorption of nature similar to human emotions in the mature years. But the best passage in this poem is Wordsworth's description of the peaceful influence of natural impression, which is deliberately preserved in his heart. He wrote:
These beautiful bodies
As I have been away for a long time, for me,
It used to be like the scenery in front of the blind.
However, when I am alone in a room, I am in the middle of it.
I felt it in the noise of the city.
Tired moments often make me
From the blood, from the bottom of my heart,
Even into my purer heart.
Restore my peace: it also makes me feel.
An unforgettable happiness, that kind of happiness
Maybe, with a lot of strength.
It affected a good man's beautiful life.
There are trivial, nameless and long forgotten ones.
But full of love and kindness.
This poem shows that the place he is familiar with not only produces fleeting pleasure in his heart, but also becomes the spiritual pillar of his later years. Besides, there are many other excellent poems in lyric songs, such as Old Orion Simon Lee, which is about the life of the rural poor, and Seven of us, which is about the children's hearts. The opposite way is written in early spring, which directly expresses the relationship between man and nature, and so on. The second edition of lyric song +080 1 published in 2008 added Lucy's poems. This group of poems are love poems written by poets. There is no unanimous conclusion as to who the protagonist Lucy is. One of the poems is called Lucy's Poems.
I have a strange excitement.
I'm not afraid to say it,
But only for sentimental people,
What happened to me.
The girl I loved at that time
Every day is as bright as a rose,
On a moonlit night,
Go to her house by bike
I looked at the moon overhead,
It shines on the vast grassland,
My horse galloped.
I have reached my favorite road.
……
The horse continued to walk, its hooves rattling loudly.
Keep moving,
The suddenly falling moon,
Hanging head down behind her house.
What a familiar and strange idea,
Suddenly into the lover's mind,
"Oh, the days of kindness," I shouted to myself.
Maybe Lucy is dead.
