When I was in junior high school, I bought a collection of poems by Xi Murong and couldn’t put it down. Now, in my third year of college, I still feel very happy and grateful when I recall all the things I read about poetry at that time.
I believe many people have heard of a poem: "A Flowering Tree". This poem, also written by Xi Murong, describes a beautiful secret love. I believe that everyone, when they meet someone they like when they are in adolescence, is also so desperate. Don’t ask for anything in return, just give simply. You can lie awake at night, tossing and turning, just for one person’s name. You can wait non-stop at a street intersection, just because he might pass by here, or he can be at the window of that classroom, Searching back and forth, just for one figure and one pair of eyes.
"A Blossoming Tree" describes this secret love to the extreme. In order to find a mortal relationship, you can pray in front of the Buddha for five hundred years, and you can turn into a tree for the person you like. The tree grows beside the road he must pass every day. Under the sunshine, it blooms carefully with flowers. I only hope that he can see these splendid flowers, give himself more eyes, and stay for himself for a while longer. .
"Youth is a hasty book" also gave me a lot of insights. Many times, when we look back on the past, we suddenly find that those past events have become blurred and you can't remember them. You can't remember the reason why you got to where you are today. You can't remember how you became good friends and confidants with him. In short, everything that happened in youth happened so fast that people were caught off guard, and a long time passed in one go.
I have read some poetry collections, and my favorite is Xi Murong’s. Maybe it’s because I am at the end of my youth, and I always have regrets and feelings about some things.
