Farewell to Cambridge
Xu zhimo
I left quietly, just as I came gently;
I waved my hand gently and bid farewell to the clouds in the western sky.
The golden willow by the river is the bride in the sunset;
Beautiful shadows in the waves ripple in my heart.
Green grass on the soft mud, oily, swaying at the bottom of the water;
In the gentle waves of He Kanghe, I would like to be an aquatic plant!
The pool under the shade of elm trees is not a clear spring, but a rainbow in the sky.
Crushed in floating seaweed, a rainbow-like dream is precipitated.
Looking for dreams? Holding a long pole (gāo), swim back to a greener place on the grass.
Full of starlight, singing in the splendor of starlight.
But I can't play the piano, just a farewell flute;
Summer insects are also silent for me, silence is Cambridge tonight!
I left quietly, just as I came quietly;
I waved my sleeve without taking away a cloud.
Image is an element of poetry and an objective image that condenses the poet's subjective feelings. This poem depicts a large number of images, and through their mutual reflection, it shows a picture of scene blending and also expresses reluctant feelings. The selection of these images has the following characteristics:
(1) personified and vivid in form. In the poem, the golden willow is compared to a bride, who looks like a fairy. She was plated with sparkling colors, much like a charming bride. Faced with this situation, the poet was fascinated. He loves everything in Cambridge as much as marrying a bride. Here, the poet personifies the image and endows the beauty of the scenery with charm and emotion.
(2) Scenes blend, borrowing scenery to express emotion. The third section of the poem depicts an image of "green grass", which is a supplement and deepening to the second section. In the author's opinion, these aquatic plants in He Kanghe River are full of vigorous vitality. They seem to be waving green arms, warmly greeting old friends and showing off the beauty of their growing environment. Poets use images to compare themselves and integrate their emotions perfectly into the scene.
(3) the combination of reality and reality, with reality lining the virtual. The third and fourth stanzas of the poem are about "Green Pond", where the reality comes first and then the emptiness, and the emptiness coexists with the reality. Between the green algae and the floating algae, the water and the sky are the same, and the waves are like dreams. Think of Qingtan as a colorful dream first, and then think of the romance of seeking dreams before. From reality to emptiness, writing dreams through the pool melts feelings into dreams, expresses feelings with dreams, and shows a different kind of romantic feelings with reality to emptiness.
(4) Combination of static and dynamic, with static lining moving. The first and second parts of this poem are written in the details of "parting clouds", the former appears elegant and noble; The latter is sad and lonely. The static contrast between the image of "cloud" and "don't" subtly reflects the poet's secret and complicated psychology.
