It comes from a folk song "Mulan Poetry" in the Northern Dynasty, and is included in Guo Maoqian's Yuefu poetry anthology "Cross Blowing Song" and "Cross Blowing Song of Two Valley Corners" in the Song Dynasty.
Excerpts are as follows:
Wan Li to Rongji, the mountain is flying.
The breath of the new moon is golden, and the cold light is iron.
The general died in battle, and the strong man returned in ten years.
The translation is as follows:
It's not far from Wan Li to go to the battlefield, and it's as fast as flying over mountains and mountains. The sound of knocking came from the cold in the north, and the moonlight reflected the armor of the soldiers. Soldiers fought many wars, some died for their country, some fought for many years and returned home in triumph.

Creation background
There are always different opinions about the time when Mulan Ci was written, but Ancient and Modern Music Records recorded Mulan Ci at the earliest, which proves that Mulan Ci was written not later than Chen. In the poem, the son of heaven is called "Khan", and the battle place is in the north, so the birth area is in the Northern Dynasties.
This poem was included in Yuefu Poetry Collection and widely circulated in the Tang Dynasty, as evidenced by the Mulan Song that Wei planned to write. Therefore, most scholars believe that the folk song Mulan Poetry originated in the late Northern Dynasty.
works appreciation
Mulan Poetry is a long narrative folk song in northern China during the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and it is also a Yuefu poem. It tells the story of Mulan disguised as a man, joined the army instead of her father, fought in the battlefield, returned to the DPRK in triumph, made meritorious deeds, and resigned and returned to China, which is full of legend. This poem originated from the folk, and in the long-term spread process, it has traces of being polished by later literati, but it basically retains the characteristics that folk songs are easy to remember and recite.
