Deuteronomy chapter 16

Deuteronomy 16, "Pay attention to the month of Abib and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night in the month of Abib. Thou shalt offer the Passover sacrifice to the LORD thy God from the herd and the flock in the place where the LORD chooses to put his name. You shall eat this sacrifice, but you shall not eat leavened bread. Within seven days, you must eat unleavened bread, which is hard bread. Because you came out of the land of Egypt, you should remember the day when you came out of the land of Egypt all your life. ..... In the place chosen by the LORD, you shall observe a feast to the LORD your God for seven days; For the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work that you put your hands to, and you will be very happy. ? (Deuteronomy 16: 1-3, 15 and joint edition)

1. Passover is what God told the Israelites to do when they left Egypt. Because there is an angel who wants to destroy all the firstborn, whether human or livestock. As long as you kill a non-disabled sheep, wipe the blood off the lintel and door frame with hyssop, and the killing angel will pass the blood when he sees it. The angel only looked at the blood on the lintel and doorframe, but didn't look at what the people in the house were doing. Anyone who has no sheep's blood on the lintel and door frame, regardless of good or evil, will be beheaded.

2. Passover lamb refers to Jesus. We should have been cursed and perished in sin, but God's love came to us. God sent his son Jesus Christ into the flesh and crucified him for our sins. John 1:29 The next day, John saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world.

No matter what sins we committed before or after, when we really accepted the blood of the cross of Jesus and washed away all our sins, we were freed from all curses and deaths. For the blood of Jesus was shed for us, and the body was laid down for us, so that our sins could be forgiven. Thank God for his grace. Glory to God.
