Why were the classical poems of the Jahiliyah era suppressed in the early Islamic period?

The literary works of the Arab Jahiliyah period, represented by poetry, vividly reflect the historical picture of the social life of the Arab clan based on the primitive commune system and maintained by the family blood relationship. The development momentum of classical poetry in Jahiliyah era was restrained in the early Islamic period, and the status of poets was challenged, thus making Arab literature go to another historical stage. The main reason for this phenomenon is that most poets of the tribal aristocracy initially opposed the rise of Islam for their own interests, and from time to time vilified and attacked Islam, its prophets and Muslims. In order to safeguard the dignity of Islam and the prophet, Muslims headed by the prophet launched a powerful counterattack against the poet's behavior, which is completely understandable. Moreover, all this is a historical necessity. In the final analysis, changes in the political superstructure have led to changes in the field of literature, because literature also serves the ruling class to some extent.
