What are the specific requirements for performing arts candidates?

Generally speaking, there are three principles for talent selection in the Academy of Performing Arts:

One is external image. It is very important for a film actor whether a face is suitable for shaping a role and whether it has its image charm characteristics. In this regard, we have two angles to examine. One is popular aesthetics, that is, we often say, beautiful or handsome. One is artistic aesthetics. Some candidates are not so beautiful, but they have unique temperament and distinctive personality, which is also the focus we need to consider in terms of image temperament.

One is internal quality. Quality includes the following seven aspects. First, have faith. Candidates should be able to express their feelings and talents calmly and naturally in the examination room and in the process of expressing themselves. Second, have courage. Have confidence in yourself. Third, we must be able to believe the hypothetical situation. For example, Leng Xia fever in winter, hunger and so on. In many cases, examination questions can also help candidates create situations. Fourth, be imaginative. Imagination is visual thinking, which is very important for actors to shape their roles. Fifth, be savvy. To express people's art, we must first understand people and life. In this regard, we will understand students' understanding of the world and life through practice and self-introduction. Sixth, be expressive. Some students are good at expressing their feelings and stand out in the exam process. Seventh, be sensitive. An actor should be able to quickly put himself into a specific situation and fully feel the relationship between the things around him and the characters, so his understanding and sensibility should not be too bad.

One is their own skills. Specifically, it can be divided into four parts: body, language, vocal music and performance. In the body part, students' basic forms and conditions are examined, such as standing normally, squatting, kicking, bending over and jumping. It also includes general modeling exercises, imitation exercises and comprehensive exercises. Chinese examination mainly includes recitation of works, pronunciation practice, improvisation practice of literary works, strong and weak sound practice and so on. Vocal music examination includes songs prepared by candidates in advance, rhythm imitation, scale arpeggio practice, model singing and special exercises. The examination of performance includes imagination, understanding, expressiveness, belief, passion and the ability to specify situations, such as the practice of prop proposition, single sketch, double sketch, multi-person sketch, sketch named by place, and the practice of emphasizing feelings.

The performance examination is divided into three parts: initial examination, second examination and third examination. The content of the initial test is modern poetry recitation within 3 minutes, which is an understanding of candidates' language ability, basic language expressive force and students' temperament. The re-examination content is prose or novel recitation and impromptu performance within 3 minutes, and the difficulty coefficient of recitation is relatively higher than that of the initial examination. Improvisation mainly depends on whether the candidates have enough imagination and can vividly express themselves on the stage. After the preliminary examination and re-examination, the candidates who entered the preliminary examination and re-examination were further investigated with the comprehensive examination of vocal music, lines, figure and performance proposition as the content. Compared with the previous two tests, the third test will be more detailed, and the sound stage will be examined one by one. The process of examination is more like a class, so that students and teachers can fully communicate and learn while teaching, so that students can fully feel the true charm of performing arts and fully examine their comprehension ability. It is worth noting that the final admission of the Academy of Performing Arts will pay more and more attention to students' cultural literacy, which is a major change in the admission criteria.
