Hu Meidiao's essays

The splendid and long-standing cultural tune of the Yellow River has cultivated the generous temperament of the people in the Yellow River valley, and also formed an impassioned, desolate and tragic but humorous music style. Meihudiao, a local opera in Guanzhong, Shaanxi Province, is a typical representative of this type of music. Lu Rirong, a famous erhu player and composer, adapted and created the erhu tune Meihu Tune according to the musical material of the play, which became a famous erhu song of Qin school. This scale form is an important embodiment of the generous and sad style of Huangdi's music. This passage shows the deep feelings of the people in northwest China through the comparison of the third paragraph of "not rubbing the strings" and "re-rubbing the strings": in the reproduction part, the composer skillfully uses the method of "invasion termination" to enter the Allegro section, that is, from the penultimate bar of 3 1, the mood is more enthusiastic and cheerful than the first paragraph. "Hu Mei Tune" fully shows the ups and downs of the people in the northwest, showing high spirits and unshakable beliefs.
