Wystan hugh auden (1907–1973), an American poet born in England, is the most important English poet after thomas eliot. Graduated from Oxford University. In the 1930s, he emerged as a representative of a new generation of poets and a leader of left-wing young writers. 1939 immigrated to the United States and later became an American citizen and converted to Christianity. Most of the early works involved social and political themes, and later they turned to religion. It is famous for its ability to write all kinds of poems from ancient times to the present. His representative works include Spain, New Year's Letters, Time of Trouble, etc.
